Remember how great it was to come home to the Deke House when you
were in college? Now you can have that pleasure and convenience again whenever
you’re in New York; as a member of the DKE Club. But this time there’s
considerably more.
We share our midtown Manhattan home at 50 Vanderbilt Avenue with
the Yale Club of New York City, directly across from Grand Central Terminal.
The Club’s warm and inviting atmosphere provides members and their guests
with the opportunity to meet for business or pleasure in a variety of settings.
Deke Club members enjoy full privileges and use of the facilities at the
Yale Club.
Let’s meet for drinks...
And a fine cigar. We’ll be up at the grand old leather and brass
stand-up bar, where Cole Porter would still feel perfectly at home. The
famous 5oz YC martini is still as generous as ever, and there’s now a private-label
club lager on tap. During the summer months enjoy roof-top cocktails on
Thursday nights.
Or are you free for lunch?
We have a choice of four dining rooms. Come to the Tap Room for
a sandwich, salad, steak or famous luncheon buffet. Or after work investigate the
Grill Room, just a half-flight down complete with two pool tables
and a big screen TV.
Our Main Dining Room has become one of the most discrete power
breakfast spots in the city-and don’t miss the Sunday Champagne Brunch
(oysters! crab legs! swordfish!) In the warm weather, we’ll take advantage
of the Roof Dining Room Patio for cocktails, lunch or dinner with Manhattan
at our feet.
Or how about a game of squash?
Or a Nautilus workout, swim or massage? Aerobics? Calisthenics?
And check out our new men’s locker rooms! Use of the athletic facilities
is free for graduates of four years or less
Dekes arrive here from all over the World.
Some members meet regularly for lunch or dinner at the club. You
might like to join them. And if you come in from out of town, you’ll find
there’s no better place for you (and your out-of-town guests and business
associates) to stay in Manhattan at remarkable rates.
